GENERAL LABORER

Job description for General Laborer:
Under immediate supervision, performs manual labor and a variety of routine unskilled and semi-skilled assignments either as a project team member or independently following detailed work instructions or clearly defined work procedures. Types of work assigned may be very routine and repetitive in nature and after once learned can be carried on without difficulty and only under general supervision.

Experience/Education Required

  • High school diploma (preferred) or GED. Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
  • Forklift experience required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs various manual labor tasks, including building, assembling, and preparing products for processing.
  • Operates production equipment and safely uses material handling tools such as pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts.
  • Assembles, inspects, packages, and wraps finished products to meet quality standards.
  • Counts and records completed products to ensure order accuracy and completion.
  • Completes other related duties as assigned to support production operations.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of proper use, care, and safety of measuring instruments, hand tools, and material-handling equipment.
  • Follows established safety procedures, including first aid practices and safe forklift and lifting operations.
  • Works independently to complete daily tasks according to schedule while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Understands and follows written and verbal instructions; learns new tasks through on-the-job training and observation.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members to ensure efficient and safe workflow.
