CLEAN & PACK TECHNICIAN
Job description for Clean & Pack Technician:
The Clean & Pack Technician is responsible for the final inspection, cleaning, assembly, labeling, and packaging of small metal products used in the corrosion monitoring industry. This role requires careful attention to detail to ensure all products meet specifications and quality standards. The technician follows work instructions, maintains accurate records using computer systems, performs minor assembly tasks, and ensures equipment and supplies are properly maintained while upholding safety and quality procedures.
Experience/Education Required:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience with packaging methods (fan wrapping, bulk wrapping) and production jobs is a plus.
- Knowledge of quality systems and procedures is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, assemble, and package metal products according to specifications and customer requirements.
- Mix chemicals for coupon passivation and follow strict safety procedures.
- Perform ultrasonic cleaning and maintain parts in numerical order.
- Pre-weigh coupons and create product labels for identification.
- Glass bead and sand blast corrosion coupons, racks, and injection tubes.
- Press, oil, and package round covers and other finished components.
Qualifications:
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately, maintaining attention to detail.
- Learn to read and interpret work orders, production jobs, and sales order processes.
- Understand and apply production quality systems and procedures.
- Use desktop computer applications for record-keeping and job tracking.
- Safely work with chemicals used in cleaning and production processes.
- Learn and apply packaging methods, including fan wrapping and bulk wrapping.
