Nick Skrmetta
passed away on March 13, 2013. ------------------------------------------------------- Alex Nick Skrmetta, age 69 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in Gulfport. Mr. Skrmetta was a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex August and Josephine Todaro Skrmetta and his wife, Doris Pollio Skrmetta. Mr. Skrmetta is survived his brother, Jimmy (Sylvia) Skrmetta of Saucier; his nieces, Brandie (Bill) Spradley of Columbia, TN, Christy Strong of Vancleave, and Jamie (Landon) Parolli of Saucier and numerous great nieces and great nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 4:00pm at Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport. Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, assisted the family with funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org). |
