Sherrill Johnson Stevenson
September 28, 1943 to October 27, 2023

Sherrill Gale Stevenson of The Villages, Florida, went home to be with our Lord on October 27, 2023, at the age of 80.

She is survived by Dean Stevenson, her loving husband of 55 years, along with two sons, Bradley and Scott Stevenson, and her daughter in law Allison Stevenson. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Daniel and Paxton Stevenson,  Parker Ridaught, and niece, Carol Speck, to whom she was very close with.

Sherrill was born in Gulfport, Mississippi on September 28, 1943, to John Dalton Johnson and Helen Elizabeth Johnson. Her brother John Dalton Johnson Jr. and sister Myrtis Johnson Trehern preceded her in death. After attending the University of Southern Mississippi, Sherrill worked as a loving and supportive housewife raising her two sons in Marietta, Georgia before retiring with Dean to the Villages, Florida in 1994. She was a member of the New Covenant United Methodist Church in The Villages, Florida.

Sherrill enjoyed gardening, playing cards, cruising throughout the world, cheering on Dean at his softball games, spending time with her family, and was a fan of TV and cinema of all kinds. She was full of energy, possessed a heart full of southern charm and hospitality, and always had a kind and caring spirit. Her beloved husband, family, and friends were the joys of her life.
