Sylvia Hicks Morgan, 80, of Oak Grove, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Hardy Street Baptist Church with interment to follow in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 until service time.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Dorothy Hicks; her sister, Sharon Clark; and her step-daughter, Natalie Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Morgan of Oak Grove; her daughter, DeAnne Ridge (Leo) of Biloxi, MS; her step-daughters, Laura Smith (Joe) of Silsbee, TX, Shelly Kuhl (Erik) of Lexington, KY, and Carrie Morgan Trussell (John) of Madison, AL; 19 grandchildren, Leo, Zac, Lucy, Abby, Daniel, Margaret-Mary, Max, Madde, Elle, Ray, Sam, Jonathon, Valerie, Justin, Christopher, Jacob, Jason, Katelyn, and Kinsley; her brother, Eddie Hicks of Hattiesburg, MS; her sisters, Shelah Reeves of Madison, MS, Sandra Hammontree (Mike) of Madison, MS, Sallie Disbrow (Bill) of Cloverdale, CA, and Serina Gray (Jimmy) of Picayune, MS; her beloved dog, CQ; and numerous nieces and nephews. |
