Larry passed away on January 3, 2005.

Note from Larry's wife:
"Thank you so very much for the generous memorial to First Baptist Church, Athens. While Larry always had conflicts in time during the high school reunions, he spoke kindly of his high school friends. He died of a massive heart attack on January 3rd. He had no history of heart disease and had a complete physical the middle of December. It was his time, I guess. He will be missed terribly. Your remembrance is appreciated."
