Claude B. Glass
March 18, 1943 to March 18, 2004
Claude B. Glass, age 61, and a resident of Gulfport, died Thursday, March
18, 2004, in Gulfport.
Mr. Glass, a native of Gulfport, graduated from Gulfport High School in
1961, served in the U. S. Navy from March 1960 to March 1966, and attended
Perkinston Junior College.
He was a former owner of C & C Distributors, was an avid fisherman, and was
a Baptist. Mr. Glass enjoyed having morning coffee with his friends prior
to picking up and spending the day with his grandson, Peyton.
He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly
missed.
Mr. Glass was preceded in death by his parents, Claudell and Vernon Mae
Glass. Survivors include his wife, Marie V. Glass, of Gulfport; two sons,
Claude B. Glass, II, and his wife, Jennifer; and Vernon Maxie Glass, all of
Long Beach; two sisters, Rebecca Davis and her husband, Gene, of Pass
Christian; and Martha Anderson, of Hattiesburg; and his grandson, Peyton
Glass of Long Beach.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 21, 2004, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Riemann
Funeral Home on 25th Avenue in Gulfport. The funeral will be at
10:00 a.m. Monday, March 22m in the funeral home chapel, followed by burial
in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport. |
