Fred passed away on March 30, 2018.
George Frederic “Fred” Gatewood, age 75, passed away March 30, 2018. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a broker in real estate for many years. He was a former owner of Holiday Liquors. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed time with his friends. He was a true gentleman who spoke his mind, but also showed his heart. He will be sadly missed by all. He is preceded in death by daughter, Amy Lyn Gatewood. He is survived by wife of 27 years, Linda S. Gatewood; son, Stuart Baron Gatewood; grandchild, Jessica Darian Heim-Gatewood; great grandchild, Layton Connor Spence; brother, Charles Gatewood and brother in law, Jason (Beverly) Sisk. A celebration of Life Service will be conducted at noon on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 10 a.m. until noon prior to the service.
