Sam Eighmey
June 21, 1943 to March 1, 2010
Walter Samuel “Sam” Eighmey, 66, of Gulfport died Monday, March 1, 2010 in
Gulfport. He served in the U. S. Navy, retiring after twenty-six years of
service. He was a loving grandfather and he enjoyed cooking and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Eighmey of Gulfport; three daughters, Leah
Haner (Jeff) of Biloxi; Rebecca Kelly (Ronnie) of New Jersey; Beverly Smith
(Kelly) of Washington state; a son, Walter Britt Eighmey (Cynthia) of Long
Beach; six grandchildren, Celeste, Jessica, Britlee, Joseph, William, and
Samuel; and Joseph Hillman.
The funeral service will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at
Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where
friends may visit from 12 noon until the service. Interment will follow. |
